Lentswe, Stilfontein - Various so-called prophets are roaming the streets, stealing from unsuspecting residents. A man wearing a black hat approached a learner from the local high school recently, introducing himself as a prophet. Another man approached who asked for directions.
According to W/O Dawie Venter, the investigating officer, the ‘prophet’ gave the man who asked for directions a bag saying he must put his cellphone in it.

Then the bag was given to the learner who also had to put his phone in there.

”The prophet then took a call and moved away from the learner. Then an unknown vehicle - no description - stopped and picked up the two suspects. This is a regular crime in Stilfontein,” said Venter.
