Lentswe, Jouberton - The Executive Mayor of the City of Matlosana, Cllr James Tsolela handed over a newly-refurbished house to the Jas family in Jouberton on Monday February 19. The Jas family’s house burned down sometime last year and with the help of ward Councillor Tshepang Kgwasi, they requested the municipality to assist.

The Executive Mayor approached and partnered with the city’s prepaid electricity service provider for assistance. During the handover ceremony on Monday afternoon, the Executive Mayor thanked them for their speedy intervention. “We are delighted to have a partner like them who plays a role in terms of corporate social investment,” he said.

Tshepi Phosa, sales manager, indicated that they are proud to work with the Matlosana Municipality and lend a helping hand as part of ploughing back to the community. She made a commitment that her company will soon adopt some schools in Matlosana.

In his reply, the proud owner of the newly-renovated house, Samuel Jas thanked the ward Councillor, the Executive Mayor and the company for the good they have done for his family and encouraged them to continue taking care of the less fortunate in the community.
