Lentswe, Orkney - The Orkney Magistrates’ Court denied bail to Tebogo Sepale (43), a suspended councillor at the Matlosana Municipality. His case was postponed to January 17 for a first appearance in the Regional Court. The state welcomed the judgement and said preparations for pre-trial are underway.
The disgraced councillor is facing 11 charges, two for statutory rape, three for the violation of a child with consent, one for manufacturing pornographic material, four for rape and one for sexual intimidation.
“The state may add other charges when the matter goes to a higher court,” said Henry Mamothame NPA Regional Spokesperson.
