Lentswe, Jouberton - A Jouberton man is still recovering from an attack where he lost his testicle after allegedly being groped by a prominent leader in ward 7 of the ANC in Matlosana. Samuel Tsambe (58) from ext 22, Jouberton said he struggles to regain his composure after the ANC deputy secretary, Nomsa Melengwana, allegedly squeezed and twisted his private parts for almost ten minutes in a dispute over an office key. “Afterwards I was so weak, I just fell to the ground,’’ he told Lentswe. He said the incident happened in November at a RDP construction site where he worked as a caretaker. “She wanted the key and I didn’t want to give it to her, and that’s when she grabbed me between the legs.
“I could not do anything to her. She is a woman. So I just went down.’’
He is still in pain after he had to undergo surgery due to the assault. “I am angry and humiliated and just carries on as if nothing happened. She needs to apologise. My whole life is affected by this. I cannot find work and need to visit the hospital regularly.’’
Capt Aafje Botma, police spokesperson, confirmed that a case of assault GBH is under investigation. No arrest has been made.
Melengwana told Lentswe that she is not guilty and will tell the court what happened if given the chance.
