Lentswe, Potchefstroom - The local police request the community’s assistance in locating and identifying a man wanted for attempted rape. “On March 8 at about 15:00, a 21-year-old victim was walking in an open field, near the railway line, close to Vuselela College in Potchefstroom, when an unknown male asked to accompany her. He then grabbed her and forced her into nearby bushes, but she fought him off and managed to escape and call for help.
Suspect in court for alleged conspiracy
Lentswe, Stilfontein - Harvey Moroka (49) appeared in the Stilfontein Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday June 5 on a charge of conspiracy to commit murder. Reports revealed that in April 2024, the Klerksdorp based Hawks’ Cash-in-Transit Task Team received information about a man who was looking for a hitman to kill a person whom he allegedly had a dispute with over a family farm located in Potchefstroom.

Eskom replaces over 400 transformers
Lentswe, Klerksdorp - As demand for electricity rises while temperatures fall with the onset of winter, the issue of network overloading has resurfaced in some areas due to electricity theft. Eskom announced this week that it has replaced 400 transformers damaged by network overloading since January 2024.
