Lentswe, Klerksdorp - An admin clerk working at Supply Chain Management (SCM) at Jouberton SAPS appeared in the Klerksdorp Magistrates’ Court last week. Goitseone Johnson Julius Kgoele (48) was charged with fraud. He appeared on August 6 and was released on a warning. The case was postponed to September 27. It is alleged that Kgoele tampered with a fuel claim earlier this year.

School principal, circuit manager arrested for “selling jobs”
Lentswe, Ventersdorp - Lydia Masiu (53) and Petrus Mokobe (63) appeared in the Ventersdorp Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday August 6, facing five counts of corruption.
The accused were arrested by members of the Hawks’ Serious Corruption Investigation in Klerksdorp and Ventersdorp on Monday August 5 following an investigation into allegations of corruption in the appointment of school teachers in Ventersdorp.
First responder dies in crash
Lentswe, Klerksdorp - A paramedic died in a car crash over the weekend.
Petrus Motlalentwa Nzuzo (38) was on his way to work on Saturday August 3, when his car was involved in a head-on collision on the N12.
This occurred between 18:00 and 19:00.
