Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Matlosana Mall held its annual glow in the dark run last week. Athletes received glow in the dark arm bands and neon facepaint with their entries which set the scene for a fun evening on Thursday November 14. There was a 2,5 km, 5 km and 10 km option which saw athletes running through the underground parking and then in behind the mall.
Some 500 athletes attended this year’s event. There were spot prizes for best dressed who received some goodie bags. The best dressed lady was Tsholofelo Manthiba.
January Luzuko from Nedbank won the 10km race and the 5km was won by Juvan van Staden who was one of a big group of Wesvalia athletes who came to support the race.
