Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The 4th Edition of the NW N12 Ultra Marathon will be held this weekend. On Saturday May 3 runners will line up for the most anticipated road-running event in the province with the route stretching on the N12 between Klerksdorp and Potchefstroom.
With a new management and organising committee, the 2025 edition promises bigger rewards, enhanced race logistics, and an unforgettable experience for both athletes and spectators.
The 50km Ultra Marathon follows the iconic N12 highway, with a few carefully planned turns to complete the distance - offering a fast, scenic, and exhilarating challenge for runners. The 50km Ultra Champion will take home a staggering R40 000+.
Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a casual runner, there’s a category for you! Choose between the 10km race and the 50km Ultra Marathon (Main Race).
The event has already drawn over 2 000 registered runners, including elite athletes from Kenya, Ethiopia, Lesotho, Eswatini, and Botswana.
