Lentswe, Ottosdal - Ottosdal is a small town with a major sports event. The 31st Draf-en Trap will take place this weekend and the town will be bursting at the seams. According to the main organiser, Willa Naudé, about 1 600 pre-registrations were received for the event on Saturday January 25.

The organisers had to work hard this week to meet all the requirements of the police after applying for approval in July last year.

Naudé assured Lentswe on Wednesday 22 January that all the requirements have been met and that the event will definitely take place this weekend.

Those who still want to register can still register on the morning of Saturday for the bike races and until the afternoon for the running.

The event offers mountain bike races (20, 40 and 60 km), road races (10, 20, 40, 84 and 120 km) and running over 5, 10, 21.1 and 42.2 km.

The marathon over 42.2 km is a qualifier for the Two Oceans and Comrades marathons.
