Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) together with the Western Cape Blood Service (WCBS) will host their Red Saturday big bleed on November 30. This campaign aims to collectively achieve at least 5 000 units of blood to help alleviate the added pressure on the blood supply over the busy festive period. “Red Saturday forms part of the SANBS summer campaign, which “aims to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donations, encourage first-time donors to make donating a lifelong practice, and educate the public on the reciprocal benefits of giving blood,” said Thandi Mosupye, Senior Manager of Marketing, Communication, and Brand at SANBS.
Red Saturday focuses on the ultimate Black Friday special - “By donating one unit of blood, you get to save up to three lives,” says Michelle Vermeulen, Head of Marketing and Public Relations Department at WCBS.
Join SANBS and the WCBS from 09:00 - 16:00 at Flamwood Walk, Mooirivier Mall, Sediba Plaza, and Lichtenburg Mall.
