Klerksdorp Midweek, Potchefstroom - composer Martin Perret returns to South Africa, gathering together musicians from Johannesburg, Cape Town and Switzerland for a concert at NWU on October 29. The concert is called L’Anderer. It will take place at The Conservatory at 18:30.
This ensemble will showcase original music composed by Perret specifically for this tour.
Martin Perret’s music is cinematic, energetic and of great beauty, merging jazz, rock and experimental electro-acoustic music.
The newly formed ensemble aims to foster old and new encounters, bringing forth a unique musical experience.
Cara Stacey, umrhubhe/nyunga-nyunga/umtshingo, Jill Richards, piano, Reza Khota, electric guitar, and Beat Keller on feedbacker guitar will join Perret on stage.
Children and students are most welcome to attend free of charge, but are encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item to contribute to the NWU School of Music food bank.
