Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - Kingston Private School will hold a colour run this weekend. The event will take place at the site of the parkrun (bird park) opposite Hoërskool Wesvalia on Saturday October 26. The start will be at 10:00 and they will also have food, music and a market. The entry fee for the day is R20. The running will cost R20, and the paint pack will be R10.

Kriel’s Dojo het aan die Skisa NW Invitational Championships deelgeneem wat op Saterdag 12 Oktober by die Jaap Steyn-saal plaasgevind het. Hulle het goed presteer. Die karatekas is Joshua Meyer (3de kata en kumite), James Turner (1ste Kata en Kumite), Amonique Barnard (1ste Kata en Kumite), Jordan Barnard (3de kata en Kumite), Cyrus Gainsford (3de Kata en 2de Kumite), Handré Strauss (3de Kate en Kumite), Zanelle Strauss (3de kata en Kumite), (middel) Johanelle van Heerden (3de kata en kumite), JJ Lombard (1st kata en kumite), Miané Potgieter (3de kata en kumite), Waldo Barnard (1ste kata en 3de kumite), Ivan Myburgh (3de kata en 1ste kumite), Andrew Turner (3de kata en 3de kumite) en (agter) Linelle van Heerden (3de kata en kumite), Petrus Kriel en sensei Jadin Kriel (3de kata en kumite). 

Team Tom attended the Kiwi Cup development tournament under the Shinkyokushinkai banner at the YMCA Garankuwa dojo. The young, inexperienced karatekas did exceptionally well, winning eight trophies after they registered 13 participants, mostly taking part in a competitive event for the first time. Team Tom is preparing for the next Matlosana Karate Cup which will be held on March 8-9 next year at the Banquet hall in Klerksdorp. Tladi Stoffel, Refilwe Antone, Koketso Monogwe, Oratile Sapelo and (front) Lethabo Motswagae, Lethabo Mongale, Remoletile Moitsemang and Kagisho Mogotlwane competed.
