STELLALANDER-VRYBURG: Joe Morolong Memorial Hospital in Vryburg commemorated Mandela day on Thursday, 18 July at the Outpatient Department and Maternity ward.
This year’s theme for Mandela day is ‘Combatting poverty and inequality is in our hands’.

The hospital Chief Executive Officer, Ms Portia Tlou, provided a platform to interact with patients and appreciated their efforts which is a testament that they have faith in our services. “I would like to thank you for making Joe Morolong your hospital of choice. It is indeed a reflection that you have full faith in our capabilities”, lamented Tlou as she ushered mothers at the Martenity ward with gifts. Tlou further lead her team to the Outpatient Department where patients were provided with a warm cup of soup and bread. Mandela day celebration echoed the hospital’s values of compassionate and caring which was demonstrated by the staff members in ensuring that patient received food, while queuing for various hospital services.
