STELLALANDER-VRYBURG: A new leadership team was inaugurated at the tri-annual elective conference and 24th anniversary celebration of the Mahikeng Ministers Fellowship (MMF), held recently at the Mocoseng Sundown Resort.
The newly elected committee has been tasked with intensifying membership renewal and recruitment, laying the foundation for the establishment of District and Provincial structures that will ultimately form the National Ministers Fellowship (NMF). Re-elected for a third term as Chairperson, Pastor Dr. Moss Tlalang emphasized the importance of a constitutional review process, which will be spearheaded by newly formed working committees.

“This process will facilitate consultative engagements with Christian leaders from other provinces who share our vision—to unite the body of Christ and impact families and communities through integrity, accountability, discipleship, and ethical leadership,” he stated. Dr. Tlalang noted that the realignment process is expected to be completed within six months. “Though challenging, we have the experience, skills, and networks to achieve this. Through prayer, dependence on God, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we will build a strong organization that will make a lasting impact on our nation and beyond,” he added. Among the outgoing committee’s key achievements was the launch of the MMF Youth Forum, which is set to be further developed into a Youth Commission. Delivering a virtual message of support, Pastor Bert Pretorius, President of the South African Community of Faith-Based Fraternals (SACOFF), encouraged church leaders to remain steadfast in their mission. “We are trusting God for many lives to be transformed this year. Raising the next generation is not the government’s responsibility, but the church’s. Where there are orphans, we must step in to make a difference,” he urged. Meanwhile, Father Smangaliso Mkhatshwa, National Chairperson of the Moral Regeneration Movement (MRM), commended MMF for positioning the church as an integral part of society. “Pastors play a crucial role in rekindling the moral fibre of our nation. The church must be the salt of the earth, not a light hidden under a bushel,” he said. The newly elected MMF Committee consists of: Chairperson: Pastor Dr. Moss Tlalang, Deputy Chairperson: Pastor Piet Tlhabanyane, Secretary: Pastor Lesiba Kgwele, Deputy Secretary: Pastor Dr. Hessie Wessie, Treasurer: Pastor Cassius Mpya and Additional Members: Prophetess Letta Bogatsu and Bishop Zola Matlhoko. With strong leadership in place, MMF is poised to expand its influence beyond Mahikeng, strengthening its presence at both provincial and national levels.
