BRITS POS – BRITS - The old Platinum Mall has been revamped! We are pleased to announce that a group of well-seasoned developers have come together and taken it upon themselves to turn the dilapidated mall into the new Madibeng Mall in Brits.
The Mall was previously vacant for +-7 years being an eyesore for the town during that time. The new ownership has deemed to be a turn-around for Brits. Upon interviews with the local public, we’ve seen that the Brits community is grateful for the revamp.

The mall now allows the public to have a vibrant shopping experience that is safe and secure. The goal is to transform the mall into a hub for local business, dining, entertainment and essential services, making it a central gathering point for the community. Compliments go out to Shoprite for having the vision at being the anchor tenant of the Madibeng Mall, giving the public an option to shop in comfort and including a safe collection point for the public’s SASSA grants.
Additional tenants include several Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SSME’s) further supporting Brits’ socio-economic development. Other tenants include China Cash & Carry, Platinum Health, House of Cosmetics, Chipstar Fish & Chips and more.
The Mall developers are also proud to announce that various government departments have been acquired within the mall umbrella, hence, moving their offices from the overpopulated CBD to the comfort of Madibeng Mall. The Departments that have already been acquired are the Department of Health, Department of Education and the Department of Social Development. Further communication is in process with other Government Departments.
The developers have had the foresight to see the struggles the community have to endure when waiting for government services. This includes standing in queues for hours on end in unbearable conditions. We’ve seen elderly and young stand in queues stretching outside government buildings enduring winter colds and summer rains.
The relocation of the departments will enable the community to be in a safe, comfortable setting whilst waiting for their services to be rendered, and thereafter, they can enjoy the day at the mall. How will the mass public reach the mall? Madibeng Management has negotiated with the Taxi Association and given them an office within the building and furthermore constructing a Taxi pick-up and drop-off within the parking facility. Adding Madibeng Mall to the taxi route will allow for constant feet and regular travel accommodation for those looking to do their monthly shopping, grab something to bite, or attend to personal matters at the Departments.
With this new development Brits can expect a foreseeable growth within the town, creating new space of opportunities for employment and local businesses. With government departments on the cards and a big retail and service component, we can expect the employment of +-450 people under the Madibeng Mall umbrella. Opportunities available: Retail Space – Modern storefronts for businesses of all sizes. The rentals asked by Madibeng Mall’s Management are extremely competitive with soft deals available for any startup/established business or company.
