BRITS POS – MOOINOOI - SAPS Mooinooi in conjunction with the station’s CPF, on 13 June, embarked on a Paint-A-Tavern GBV and Femicide awareness campaign, which was orchestrated by the Provincial liquor board in collaboration with the Gambling Board, Department of Trade and Industry as well as tavern owners.

Community members within the Mooinooi Policing precinct were mobilised and addressed by various speakers from the SAPS CPF, and local stakeholders such as Vallery House and Tavern owners.
Mooinooi SAPS station commander, Colonel Mosito urged community members to work hand-in-hand with the police and CPF to prevent crimes emanating from liquor abuse and non-compliance by liquor traders. Bojanala District CPF Chairperson Mr Sibasa warned the Liquor board against issuing liquor licenses to new liquor outlets without the consultation of local liquor traders and CPF members.
The initiative began at Mamba Section, then Majakaneng, and thereafter, the main event was held at Bapong. (Photos: SAPS)
