BRITS POS – ZEERUST/LICTHENBURG – A lion in transport from the Free State to North West, made a daring escape between Zeerust and Lichtenburg from a trailer that he was transported in on Monday.
The animal was caught on video escaping through the roof of the wildlife transporter before leaping to the ground as the driver was immediately pulling of the road and the lion crossed the road.
The authorities in North West confirmed that the lion has been safely captured and an investigation started to determine how the lion managed to escape.
