BRITS POS – BRITS - In a bid to harden the target for criminals, Brits Police station members led by the Acting Station Commander, Colonel Kepadisa and in partnership with the Community Police Forum (CPF) conducted the Safer Festive Season Awareness Campaign on Friday, 29 November at the Sasol garage and the Alpha crossing, south of Brits.
“The objective was to primarily educate motorists and the public at large about the identification of currency authenticity, crime prevention safety tips, gender-based violence and sexual offences,” says Maria Nkabinde, SAPS Brits spokesperson.
“They were further cautioned on the dynamics of how to identify tangible differences between authentic and fake bank notes, to avoid carrying a large amount of money on your person or in a handbag, breaking the silence on gender-based violence.”
