RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - Have you diarised Saturday, 12 October for our Oktoberfest at Brauhaus Afrika? If not, do so now - before time runs out!
Rustenburg Herald is celebrating 100 years of existence from 10:00 to 18:00 at this beautiful venue, with a sprawling mountain range and the clear, blue water of the Olifantsnek Dam as backdrop. The day will be filled with all kinds of everything to suit everyone’s taste and is sure to be remembered as the biggest celebration to hit town this year!

The centenary celebration will feature a host of exhibitors that will keep both the young ones and the older crowd (and everyone in-between) entertained for hours. There will be the obligatory beer on tap and Oompa band (it is an Oktoberfest, after all) as well as other sets of live music in spirit of celebratory vibes - all day long.
Readers of our newspaper will also be excited to learn that we are offering a number of family tickets up for grabs! Simply complete the entry form attached to this article and submit your entry in the competition box at the offices of Rustenburg Herald at 13 Coetzer Street.
The little ones will have the opportunity to spend time on the jumping castle or to take part in “Boeresport” and should be kept occupied for hours by stalls selling toys galore! Other stalls will offer clothing, jewellery, and food to fill your stomach to the brim - Boerie rolls, soft serve, pancakes and much more. Brauhaus Afrika has promised that there will be no repeat stalls, so there will simply be too much to choose from!
Rustenburg Herald is inviting the public to be a part of history on this day and make no mistake, many a story will be exchanged, anecdotes will be shared, and a comical tale will be told to the delight of friends and family gathered around tables at this auspicious occasion!
Don’t miss this opportunity to share in the “good ol’ times”/”die goeie ou dae” and raise a glass to what is to come in the next 100 years!
