BONUS - RUSTENBURG - After achieving the fastest 10km time of his career with a second-place finish at the iconic Absa Run Your City Durban 10K on 7 July 2024, Kabelo Mulaudzi is confident in his chances of successfully defending his title at the Absa Run Your City Tshwane 10K on Sunday, 25 August, starting and finishing at Stanza Bopape Street, Arcadia, Pretoria.
Mulaudzi’s confidence soared with his 27:53 finish in Durban, especially after an injury threatened to derail his 2024 season.

“That sub-28 in Durban boosted my confidence because it showed me that I’m still at the same level as last year. I broke my personal best by three seconds. So even when I train, I’m happy and I train with confidence,” explained Mulaudzi.
In many ways, 2024 is mirroring 2023 for the 26-year-old. Last year, the Boxer Athletic Club’s top runner achieved a sub-28-minute victory in Durban before clinching the win in the nation’s capital just over a month later. Mulaudzi says winning the 2023 Absa Run Your City Tshwane 10K in a thrilling sprint finish against Precious Mashele remains one of the highlights of his career.
