“As an artist dedicated to empowering women, it means a lot to me that the organisers have invited me to entertain runners, walkers, and supporters at the Totalsports Women’s Race in Johannesburg,” says Nkosozana Daughter. “As a woman, I understand the challenges women face in fighting for their place in any industry and constantly having to “prove” they are equally deserving of certain spaces.

It’s an honour for me to be a part of this initiative. As an artist dedicated to inspiring women to be empowered, I’m humbled that the event organisers chose me to be part of such a meaningful event. It’s a privilege to entertain participants who share my beliefs in women’s empowerment.” In closing she adds: “I’m thrilled to be part of this event, as its purpose aligns closely with my beliefs. Runners, walkers, and spectators can look forward to a high-energy and fun performance designed to loosen those racing muscles.” The Totalsports Women’s Race is a mass participation, women’s only road race that take place across three major cities (Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg) and caters to both social runners and elite athletes.
