BONUS - RUSTENBURG - A 65-year-old homeowner and accomplice were expected to appear in the Rustenburg Magistrates Court on Monday, 9 September 2024, for illegal mining, tampering with and damaging of essential infrastructure and possession of suspected stolen goods. The man was arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning, 5 September 2024, at Nkandla informal settlement near Khuseleka 1 mine by Tlhabane Visible Policing, Royal Bafokeng Tactical Team and Rustenburg Public Safety.

BONUS - RUSTENBURG - Research conducted by the TEARS Foundation (Transform Education About Rape and Sexual abuse) in South Africa, provides insight into different districts in terms of the prevalence of violence and the occurrence of gender-based violence (GBV).
Conducted in partnership with the University of Johannesburg (UJ), the report covers a four-year period, from January 2020 to December 2023, focusing primarily on time series analysis, location of calls, frequency of calls from the same number, and prevalence of calls during certain times of the year.

BONUS - RUSTENBURG - The Dankooo Entle Foundation and its Founder, known as Abutiie Prom, along with students and lecturers from ORBIT TVET College’s Mankwe campus, gathered in the Moses Kotane district for Women’s Month to empower women and communities.

BONUS - RUSTENBURG - On Friday, 23 August 2024 Douglasdale Dairy visited the Grade R and 1 learners of Platinum Village Primary School. The learners learned more about dairy products.
Learners received bottles of fresh milk. Thank you to Sibo Myesza and his team from Douglase Diary for the exciting visit. The Grade R and 1 learners took part in an internal colouring competition. They were rewarded with gift bags and products from Douglasdale.
