Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The second awards ceremony honouring local first responders was held this past weekend.
Hosted by the Trauma First Responder Chaplaincy (TFRC) they honour emergency crews, law enforcement agencies, and support services for their commitment and dedication to their profession.
TFRC is a non-profit company that provides emotional trauma support to primary and secondary victims of trauma. Chief Chaplain Madeleine Pieters said the awards ceremony is to honour and acknowledge first responders for their commitment and dedication to their profession. Also to show appreciation for the difference they make in their community.
In the key note address, Pieters thanked the sponsors: “This event would not at all be possible without the generous sponsors, the businesses and individuals who have seen the significance of our mission, invested their resources, and shared our vision.
“Their contributions resonate far beyond financial support. They embody belief in a cause that protects not just those who bear the weight of trauma, but also the First Responders who guide them towards healing.”
