Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Isaac Matlhaki (41) appeared in the Klerksdorp Magistrates’ Court last week for being in possession of two unlicensed firearms.

He appeared on Friday July 19 and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on Monday July 29.

“He was arrested in Jouberton after we received information that lead us to a house in Ext 14, Jouberton. Police found the accused on the premises and searched the home. Two firearms were discovered of which the serial numbers were filed off, leading to his immediate arrest,” said Col Adéle Myburgh, police spokesperson.

The Provincial Police Commissioner of North West, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena, said police will not be successful without community being the eyes and the ears of police.
