Lentswe, Jouberton - The Roman Catholic Church, through its Justice and Peace Commission, is offering free paralegal services. The offices, situated at C12 23rd Street Jouberton (Ledibeng Centre), operates as a community advice office. The organisation has partnered with the Department of Justice and constitutional development (DOJ-CD). “The office is staffed with three well-trained paralegal officers. Their work is to help the most vulnerable members of the community to interact and navigate with all government key services points,” says Joe Mashilo, one of the paralegals in the office.
Some of the cases include labour, health, housing, and housing related and infighting, the scourge of GBV. The paralegals can assist those in need with obtaining protection order applications and with protection from harassment.
