Lentswe, Klerksdorp - A baby girl who suffered severe burn wounds after a jug of boiling hot water toppled over on her, died in hospital. The little girl turned one on January 28. According to Col Adele Myburgh, police spokesperson, the child was in the care of an aunt at the time of the incident. Police were notified of her death in Tshepong Hospital burn unit on Monday March 3. “The jug with the hot water was on a table and it seems the baby managed to get hold of it. She suffered severe burn wounds and was taken to hospital. The police have opened an investigation into the incident.’’
