Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Local Christian church leaders have joined hands with a common purpose: to seek divine guidance through prayer and fasting for the upcoming elections on May 29.
Church leaders are calling upon their congregations, as well as the wider communities, to join in a concerted effort to intercede for our communities and country. Commencing on Sunday May 19 up to the election (10 days), congregants are invited to participate in fasting and prayer.

These ten days of fasting and prayer will be guided by 10 prayer points, one for each day: turning back to God, spiritual warfare, peace and safety, engagement, corruption and crime, good Godly governance and order in society and government, economic stability, hope, loving one another and unity and strength in the Body of Christ - the church.

On Sunday May 26 at 15:00, at the Hoërskool Wesvalia sportsground, people are urged to assemble as a Christian community for a time of united prayer.

All Christian church leaders are invited to the next meeting, to finalise arrangements for this initiative, on Friday morning May 17 at Oase Gemeente at 07:00.
