Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The Hawks’ Priority Crime Specialised Investigation in collaboration with Asset Forfeiture Unit (AFU) successfully secured a forfeiture order to the total value of R349 090 against Agrieneth Mdluli (42).

The forfeiture order was granted by the North West High Court in Mahikeng on May 23. WO Amogelang Malwetse, spokesperson for the Hawks in the province, said the forfeiture came after arrests that were made in June 2021 in Khuma.

“In June that year, the Klerksdorp Hawks working with the Dr KK Illicit Mining team busted seven Lesotho nationals who were busy refining unwrought gold at a property in Khuma. During the arrest, gold bearing material, four gold nuggets, medicine as well as mining equipment to the total value of R349 090 were seized.”
