Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Tshepo Makabe from Jouberton competed at the conductors’ solo competition at Empangeni the past weekend. The competition on Saturday October 11 consisted of school choir conductors across the country, with Makabe representing Mmokeng Secondary school in Kanana.Â
He is the choir conductor in that school. The competition had different voice part categories - in the bass/baritone category he ended second out of 13 singers. He sang a song called La Vendetta by Mozart. The next solo competition that he will compete in will be taking place at the Free State Musicon in Bloemfontein.
