STELLALANDER-TAUNG: Mosimaneotsile Ntehelang (39), was remanded in custody upon appearance in the Taung Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 2 August. 
He was expected to reappear again on Thursday, 8 August.

 

Ntehelang was arrested during a crime intelligence driven operation on Wednesday, 31 July, conducted by Pudimoe Visible Policing and Vryburg K9 Unit, after the team executed a search and seizure warrant at Ntehelang ‘s house in Pudimoe. During the search, a firearm, replica firearm, magazines and ammunition were found. The team further found 30 sachets of Nyaope and another two containing crystal meth, all with an estimated street value of R1 150, as well as some cash. The Police Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena thanked the members involved for the success.
