by Leon Basson MP - DA North West Provincial Leader
BRITS POS – BRITS - The DA in North West is encouraged by the large number of voters who registered to vote DA to rescue South Africa in next year’s elections.
The IEC’s preliminary reports show that almost 30 000 eligible voters registered for the first time in North West.
We are also satisfied with the IEC’s delivery of the Registration Weekend in North West.
The problems we encountered were minor and were addressed immediately, efficiently, and amicably. The IEC’s performance over this weekend is a marked improvement from the many problems experienced during the 2021 local government election cycle. However, since the bulk of registrations were conducted in off-line mode it is important that these applications are processed speedily before we can give a final stamp of approval.
Every single voter registration is one step closer to a better, brighter future. Positive change is within our grasp in 2024. We dare not fail. We call on the 770 000 unregistered and eligible North West voters to register as soon as possible.
We extend our appreciation and gratitude to every voter who took the first step towards rescuing South Africa and rebuilding North West by registering to vote DA. For those voters who could not register this weekend, we will gladly assist with your registration by following the link checknorthwest.da.org.za
