BRITS POS – FAFUNG - Learners at Molelwane Primary School in Fafung, north of Brits, will enjoy a cleaner learning environment thanks to a generous donation from Masters football teams who visited the area over the weekend.
The visiting teams, Brits Masters, Jacaranda Masters from Pretoria, and local sides Fafung Masters and Popo and Brothers Masters, donated cleaning supplies and garden tools to the school as part of a community upliftment initiative.
This effort follows a similar project in 2024, when the same teams provided support to Charles Mamogale Primary School in Jericho.

These ongoing initiatives form part of a broader commitment by the Masters teams to contribute meaningfully to community development through sport.
Speaking at the event, team representatives expressed appreciation for the role played by the hosts Fafung and Popo and Brothers Masters in coordinating the event.
“It is great to see that, as Masters teams, we have joined hands to be part of the solution to challenges faced by learners within the municipality of Madibeng,” said Mr Rodney Mataboge from Brits Masters.
“We thank Fafung and Popo and Brothers Masters for ensuring that we continue with our programme from last year.”
Mr Salvo Mokgatlhe from Jacaranda Masters echoed this sentiment: “This is a seed we continue to plant as Jacaranda Masters, and we are excited to witness its growth and impact in communities like Brits, Jericho, and Fafung.”
Molelwane Primary School principal, Ms Mmapaseka Kubatsi, welcomed the initiative, noting the importance of community partnerships. “It’s encouraging to see adults using football as a tool to support our learners and improve our school,” she said.
The teams have further pledged to assist in providing sports clothes for learners in need at the school.
