BRITS POS – BRITS - Dirk Johannes Kotze (51) was arrested on Wednesday, 9 October for attempted murder. It is alleged that three men were around the farm of the suspect at a dumping site in Zandfontein at on Monday, 7 October at about 18:30, when the suspect allegedly fired shots at the men and injured one of them on his right leg.
The men fled the area, however one of them is still missing.
The search and rescue team was activated to search for the missing person without success. The suspect appeared before the Brits Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 18 October and the matter was postponed to Friday, 25 October 2024 for bail application.
