BRITS POS – ELANDSRAND - On 23 January 2024 Councillor Eugene van der Schyff sent an urgent email to the acting municipal manager of Madibeng Local Municipality about the general problems and challenges in Elandsrand and requested that an urgent response would be appreciated.
The challenges that residents have to contend with on a daily basis and the dangers it poses are:
*Streetlights
*Potholes
*Road markings
*Street name signs
*Storm water drains
*Trees
*Illegal dumping
*Water leaks
*Magaliesberg Road which poses a deadly danger– a huge concrete cover lid over a pump has not been replaced after numerous requests, which can be life-threatening should someone fall into it.
Without the acting Municipal Manager responding to the e-mail, the sender received notification that said e-mail was deleted without being read on Tuesday, 13 February 2024.
Is this what the acting MM gets paid to do? Just asking, because this is disgusting how residents’ serious concerns and services that they are paying for, are not being managed but get ‘deleted’?
