BRITS POS – BRITS – Madibeng has not paid any attention for securing the extremely dangerous intersection of Van Deventer- and De Ridder Street in Brits.
Van Deventer Street is a busy entry and exit route from Brits for, among other things, scholars to Die Hoërskool Wagpos and De Ridder Street to and from Hoërskool Brits.

After Brits Pos brought this to the attention of Cllr Lardus Klopper of the FF+, he reported it on 10 June to Madibeng Local Municipality, with supporting photos and a video to illustrate the dangers as the traffic lights have been long gone and there are no Stop Road markings and the only stop sign is on the left side entering Brits in Van Deventer Street, which is not visible from the road.
At our going to press, it is 11 days later and the request has not been prioritised and should anyone die or is injured, someone will have to take responsibility.
