BRITS POS – BRITS - The Public Servants Association (PSA), representing thousands of public sector employees, is deeply concerned by the appointment of Ms Morufa Moloto as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Northwest Parks and Tourism Board where she has already where she has already started working.
Ms Moloto is currently out on bail of R15 000 and will be in court again in August. She faces serious allegations of corruption and financial misconduct during her tenure at Madibeng and Kagisano-Molopo municipalities.

Moloto started her job as CFO at North West Parks and Tourism this month.
Her appointment to a key financial oversight position, while under investigation for a criminal offence, reflects a disturbing disregard for ethical governance, due diligence, and public accountability.
The PSA calls on the Premier of the Northwest Province to urgently launch an independent investigation into the recruitment and appointment processes followed in this case.
It is alarming that a candidate facing such serious charges could be appointed to manage public funds without proper vetting or consideration of the reputational risk and trust implications for the institution and the public it serves. The PSA further urges the Northwest Parks and Tourism Board to immediately review and reverse the appointment of Ms Moloto pending the outcome of the legal proceedings and the internal investigation.
This situation illustrates yet another case where cadre disregard for merit-based processes compromises service delivery and public confidence in government institutions.
The PSA will continue to monitor the matter closely and explore all avenues to ensure that public sector appointments are guided by integrity, transparency, and accountability.
The PSA stands firm in its commitment to promoting ethical public administration and protecting the integrity of the public service. We will not remain silent while our institutions are captured and repurposed to serve narrow political interests.
The people of Northwest deserve leaders who are honest, competent, and committed to public service, not individuals with questionable records.
