BRITS POS – BRITS - As part of ongoing investigation into the inquest and culpable homicide cases, the police in Brits request relatives of two deceased men to come forward and identify them.
On Saturday, 21 June 2025, around 08:00, the police found the body of an unknown white male on Hendrik Verwoerd Avenue, Brits CBD. He wore a blue scotch jacket, black trousers, orange socks and black shoes.
In a separate incident, the body of an African male was found on the N4 Bakwena Highway after a fatal hit-and-run accident, close to Bokfontein on the outskirts of Brits, at about 10:00 on Sunday, 22 June 2025. The deceased wore a blue tracksuit. He was certified dead at the scene by paramedics from Hartbeespoortdam Emergency Medical Services (HEMS).
