BRITS POS – SKEERPOORT – Numerous people have come across recent social media posts regarding the farm workers employed by Khutso-Naketsi Communal Property Association (CPA) or Khutso-Naketsi Agri (PTY) Ltd. These posts claim that Henning Pretorius has not paid these workers for the last four months of 2024.
This claim is false. The responsibility for paying the workers lies solely with Khutso-Naketsi Communal Property Association (CPA) and Khutso-Naketsi Agri (PTY) Ltd, and they have indeed failed to fulfil their obligation to pay their employees for the last four months of 2024.
Those involved are requested to urgently take the following action:
Write to the CCMA and request their intervention to compel Khutso-Naketsi Agri and their management to pay their employees. Without such action, the workers’ strike will likely persist and potentially escalate.
There is also troubling information suggesting that a strike is being planned with the intent to shut down the entirety of Skeerpoort on Monday, 27 January 2025, though the reasons remain unclear.

It is important to emphasize that it is not Henning Pretorius who is responsible for paying these workers. The burden of responsibility lies entirely with Khutso-Naketsi CPA and Khutso-Naketsi Agri (PTY) Ltd. The CCMA must take steps to notify the 363 employees of Khutso-Naketsi Agri (PTY) Ltd and direct them to address their grievances to the proper parties, rather than unjustly targeting the landowners and lawful occupiers of the Skeerpoort Valley. Your immediate action in contacting the CCMA is vital to prevent further disruptions and to protect our community.
