RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - In a find that shocked the local community on Monday, 29 July, the decomposed remains of a newborn baby boy was discovered in Nylrivier Avenue in Cashan. Emergency responders and the South African Police Service were called to the scene, but it was clear that the infant had already passed on.
From initial appearances, the baby had been carried to term and had been delivered by the mother, but until a complete forensic investigation and post mortem has been conducted, it is unclear whether the baby succumbed from natural causes or if foul play was involved. The infant seemed to have been deceased for a bit of time.
