More than a dozen of South Africa’s top artists will take to the stage in a glamorous celebration of Christmas - a concert that promises to revive the festive spirit in true Boney M style.
The renowned Chanie Jonker acts as musical director, while Frans Swart, takes the director’s chair. Frans recently received The Star Award from the Roodepoort Theatre for work he has done in the theatre for the last 30 years. The production boasts a full orchestra and the Magaliesberg Children’s Choir conducted by Hannelie van Sittert and promises to be the perfect start to the festive season.

This year, Christmas Spectacular boasts the cream of South African singers and theatregoers will see and hear a feast of talent, with Alwyn Oberholster, Anna Davel, Andrè Schwartz, Arina de Witt, Cordelia, Corlea Botha, Fatman, Leon Gropp, Louis Loock, Mari Bosman, Stephanie Baartman and Timothy Moloi.
Director Frans Swart says that the Christmas Spectacular is very close to his heart, because it is first and foremost a spiritual experience.
Chanie Jonker, musical director, said she is looking forward to doing some unusual yet relevant songs in the production, especially because they have such incredible voices on stage.
