Klerksdorp Record, Jouberton - The police investigated a case of attempted murder after parents suspected their son was trying to kill them.
The incident was reported on November 24 after the parents discovered that a gas bottle was left open inside the home while they were sleeping. The gas bottle was stored in the garage.
According to a police report a case of attempted murder was investigated against their adult son. The parents suspected that he is the one who opened the gas inside the house with the intention of killing his parents. The mom woke up, smelled the gas and opened the windows. She then discovered the open gas bottle inside the home.
Col Adele Myburgh, police spokesperson, confirmed this week that the case of attempted murder has since been withdrawn.
