The Rotary Club of Orkney and Triest Centre for the Intellectually Disabled joined forces for a project at the Emmanuel Care Centre recently. The project aimed to enhance the services and facilities at the Emmanuel Care Centre, ensuring a better environment for its residents. The Rotary Club of Orkney brought their extensive experience in community service, while the Triest Centre, as part of their community responsibility, contributed their specialized knowledge and care for intellectually disabled individuals. Blankets, linen, towels, beds, jars of hope, food, clothes and books were handed over to Emmanuel Care Centre. Emmanuel, situated in Jouberton takes care of 194 elderly people and people with disabilities. Pictured is Johan and Corné Gerber with Martha Magabe, manager of Emmanuel.
