Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The City of Matlosana Municipality in conjunction with the Office of the Premier, and Dr Kenneth Kaunda (Dr KK) District Municipality conducted the Thuntsa Lerole program in Kanana last week. 
The program was led by the Executive Mayor of Matlosana, Cllr Fikile Mahlophe alongside with the acting Executive Mayor of Dr KK District Municipality Cllr Zanele Mphafudi. Thuntsa Lerole Campaign is an initiative from the Office of the Premier in the North West Province. Its main objective is to ensure the acceleration of service delivery to every locality in the North West Province by coordinating all government departments to work as one unit.

Various services were rendered on the day which included patching of potholes, registration of I.Ds by Department of Home affairs, provision of social services, removing illegal dumping, prevention of sewer spillages and replacement of street lights. 

Sanitary towels were also donated to 50 learners at Ntataise Primary School and 5 households were given food parcels by the Department of Social Development. Fruit and vegetable plants were also given to 9 households by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.  

Thuntsa Lerole campaign will be conducted every Friday of the week whereby all townships and other areas of Matlosana will be attended to.
