Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Kakatlela Primary school entered the Provincial Youth Citizens Action Programme (YCAP) competition that was held in Mahikeng recently. Kakatlela was competing against six primary schools from various provincial districts and managed to obtain the first position. 

The MEC for Education, Viola Motsumi, congratulated the winners. 

“On behalf of the Department of Education in the NW, I take this moment to congratulate all the provincial winners as they are going to compete at national. I am confident that they will make us proud,” she said. 

Kakatlela Primary School will be representing the NW at the national eliminations at the end of October.

The school principal, Mr Mokwena, congratulated the school YCAP team and indicated that the SGB and the entire staff wish them luck in the national eliminations.
