Lentswe, Klerksdorp - A local filmmaker will screen his short film at Ster-Kinekor in Matlosana Mall on Saturday February 8. Percy Madidola is a man on a mission. He grew up in North West and gained experience by filming weddings and corporate events. Now he has made a short film called Tsela Kgopo.
Granny gets a house
Lentswe, Alabama - Mama Johanna Jumar (82) now has her own house. The Premier of NW, Lazarus Mokgosi, made a heartwarming visit to Mama Jumar’s home in Alabama on Friday January 17.
Accompanied by MEC Gaogane Oageng Molapisi, City of Matlosana Mayor Cllr Fikile Mahlophe, and Local MMCs, Premier Mokgosi handed over a brand new house to the 82-year-old granny during the Thuntsha Lerole Programme.
Campaign held to spread awareness
An NPO called Monna Sechabeng and the Patriotic Alliance held an awareness campaign against bullying, substance abuse and gangsterism. They are also feeding the needy! They hand out food every Wednesday at the main gate of Jouberton hostel.
Granny celebrates 90th birthday
Lentswe, Jouberton - On January 19, Phodiso Worship Centre commemorated a significant event for their dear grandmother, Nelly Sekgweng, who has reached 90 years of age. Apostle TD Mofokeng and the board planned to buy a cake and bring it to her to celebrate and express the love she rightfully deserves. Her heart brimmed with joy, and numerous emotions surged within her since she did not anticipate this. All she could do was sing praises and worship with her beautiful voice.
