Lentswe, Kanana - A couple who was having a huge row in Ext 12 over the weekend, lead to the woman fleeing the house to get help from her neighbours. But when the neighbours opened the door, Thandiwe Ngcoboti (32) was lying in a pool of blood. According to Lt Col Sam Tselanyane, police spokesperson, her boyfriend who followed her was standing over her body. “The neighbours called the ambulance and police, whilst the boyfriend fled the scene in his girlfriend’s car. Upon arrival of the police and EMRS at the scene, she was declared dead. “There was multiple stab wounds over her body.’’
The boyfriend was traced to Kroonstad where he was arrested shortly after the incident was reported on Saturday January 24.
He is currently receiving medical attention at a local hospital, under police guard. Tselenyane said he was expected to appear in the Orkney Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday January 27 on a charge of murder.
Investigation into the matter continues.
