Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Tshegofatso Morotola was killed in August 2022. It took more than three years for her murderer to be found guilty. Lerato Tsholofelo (31) heard the guilty verdict on Friday January 23 for the murder of Tshegofatso. He killed her to get hold of her Sassa card! He would have been sentenced on Monday January 26 in the Klerksdorp Regional Court. It, however, was rescheduled as the magistrate was sick. The parents of the deceased, Mapula and James Cawe, are relieved although they won’t see their child again. They thanked the court officials and staff for ensuring that justice is served. They also would like to thank the school inspector and his wife for the support they offered throughout this difficult time.
