Lentswe, Klerksdorp - DA Cllr Lawrence Motlhoiwa passed away on Saturday morning March 9. Cllr Motlhoiwa served as a DA Councillor in the JB Marks Local Municipality since his election in 2016 and he was the representative for Ventersdorp, Wards 30, 31, 33 and 34. He also served as the DA’s Whip in the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality.
Lawrence was committed to the DA’s programme of action and diligently served the Ventersdorp community under very difficult circumstances.

He was committed towards the education of children. He served as a teacher and a school principal and has left a strong legacy in education.

Lawrence leaves behind his wife, Francina, and his twin daughters, Kaone and Lerona.

The DA extend their heartfelt condolences to the Motlhoiwa family, his friends and colleagues in the JB Marks Council. His noble character and passion for what is right will be greatly missed, but his legacy inspires us to live and work by the example he set.
