Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Gift Kotokoane (17), a learner from Klerksdorp Secondary School, has been selected to represent South Africa at the prestigious World Rising Stars international pageant in Georgia next year. Gift, a bright and ambitious young woman from Jouberton, is thrilled to have been selected for this pageant. “I’m incredibly proud to represent my country and showcase the beauty, diversity, and talent of an African Child,” she said.

A book lover and avid reader, Gift believes education is key to empowering the next generation. “Reading has broadened my perspective and fueled my passion for learning. I hope to inspire fellow youth to prioritize education and pursue their dreams.”

An active member of the Lutheran Church in Jouberton, Gift credits her faith with guiding her values and principles. “My church community has been instrumental in shaping me into the person I am today. I’m grateful for their support and encouragement.”

As South Africa finalist representative, I will embark on a journey to promote cultural exchange, understanding, and friendship between nations. “I’m eager to learn about Georgian culture and share our rich South African heritage with the world.

“Representing South Africa is a dream come true. I pledge to make my country proud and serve as a positive ambassador for our nation’s youth and that’s why I’ve always believed in this chapter of Isaiah 60:22 it’s says when the time is right I the lord will make it happen”.

In preparing for the pageant, she says she volunteered at local charities and participated in school initiatives promoting literacy and empowerment. She draws inspiration from influential figures like Nelson Mandela, Malala Yousafzai, and Trevor Noah. “Their courage, resilience, and dedication to making a difference inspire me to pursue my passions.’’

She appreciates Red Carpet Sead (Themba Oliphant) for making it possible to be one of the international models in the RCS family.
