Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The Executive Mayor of the City of Matlosana, Fikile Mahlophe received new vehicles, to boost the municipalities existing fleet.
These new wheels consist of the following:

- A firetruck and landcruiser for Department of Public Safety;
- Two tractors and two TLBs, two roll on and skip trucks to assist the Community services Department with refuse removal; 
- One bakkie for security department; 
- Two Ford Rangers for Water Department; 
- Three Ford Rangers for Electrical Department; 
-  One bakkie for Corporate Services; and 
-  A transit combi for testing for Electrical Development 

“The procurement and acquisition of this new state-of-the art fleet is an important step as it will help us accelerate service delivery as a municipality. Quite often we are unable to effectively do our work due to a shortage of equipment and vehicles and this new fleet are necessary tools of trade in advancing our core mission,” the Mayor said.
